Maybe this has been posted before.
But this is my idea Obsidian Weapons.
For all professions.
5/10k ea 20 ecto and 20 shards 50 wood and 30 iron crafting materials.
3/4 Quests to gain access to his privilege
Appearance of weapons A purple inner core from the ecto Gray like outside from the shards.
Weapons come without anything no inscriptions and/or upgrades.

sometimes i think anet missed something when they created FoW :P i mean, there is an Eternal Forgemaster who crafts armors, and there is an Eternal Weaponsmith who.... gives you a quest that allows you to craft armor o_O hello? something is wrong here

if anyone has any designs of their vision of Obsidian Weapons i'd sure like to see them

Same here! I've been waiting 2 yrs+ for an eternal sword and have yet to see one. On the issue of an eternal weapons crafter, sure why not. More content isn't a bad thing. Its what keeps people playing and keeps companies in business. /signed though I don't think they will implement this.

Actually when you stand still and have a look it makes perfect sense...
We have Destroyer Weapons, Tormented Weapons and now we could get Obsidian Weapons...
I also like the idea of having a purple inner core the colour of an ecto.
Make the outside have a bit of a shardy kind of look so you can instantly see that it needed both ecto and shards.

"I'm wielding an Adept Obisidian Staff of Enchanting!"

There can be nothing wrong with that in all fairness.
And judging by the fact that GW2 is still more or less a year away it would be a nice intermezzo.

Hm... they should finish it and make its items drop where the chaos swrod and eternal shield currently drop...

Currently there are only two axes and a shield.
The enernal shield, the chaos axe and the ghostly sword (which is actually an axe)

Hm... just imagine an etenal Scythe... yum...

^^ That's the stoneshard skin (i think) and that's what ghosty uses too. What if you could take a weapon to the eternal weaponsmith, any weapon, and have him gohsty it for you? In the process, it becomes customized but with a 25% dmg bonus.
